St Fidelis Catholic Primary School

Compassion, Challenge and Excellence

Dear Parents,

The school is now closed for the majority of children until further notice. As a country, we all need to do what we can to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. That is why the government has given clear guidance on self-isolation, household isolation and social distancing. The most recent scientific advice on how to further limit the spread of COVID-19 is clear. If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.

If you have indicated that you are a key worker, and your children cannot be cared for at home, the school will be open between 8:30am and 3:30pm Monday 23 March to Friday 27 March.

It is essential that the minimum number of children attend school at this time in order to significantly reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our communities. If your children can stay at home with you or another trusted adult at this time then they should.

I would be grateful if you could email to indicate if your children will be attending school on Monday. Please include their full name and year group. Please email or be prepared to produce evidence on Monday that you meet the key worker requirements and that you at work during the times the school is open this week.

Best wishes,

Mark Hannon
